John Stein is a Senior Lecturer in the Neuroscience Department at Brown University and member of the Brain Science faculty. He is also the director of Project ARISE: Advancing Rhode Island Science Education, where he collaborates with local high school science teachers to improve teaching pedagogy and distribute mobile lab equipment. Professor Stein has received the Undergraduate Council of Students Excellence in Teaching Award and the Barrett Hazeltine Teaching Citation for Outstanding Teaching numerous times.
