James Pennebaker is the Centennial Professor of Liberal Arts in the Psychology Department at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a member of the Academy of Distinguished Teachers. His earlier work explored the links between traumatic experiences, expressive writing, and physical and mental health. His most recent research focuses on the nature of language in the real world. Author or editor of 10 books and over 250 articles, Pennebaker has received numerous awards and honors.
