Chris Surprenant is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of New Orleans, where he directs the Alexis de Tocqueville Project, an academic research, public policy, and educational programming center. He is the author of “Kant and the Cultivation of Virtue,” and numerous scholarly articles in moral and political philosophy. He was recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the “Top 300 Professors” in the United States, and by Cengage Learning as one of their “Most Valuable Professors.”
