Michael Starbird is a Professor of Mathematics and a Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. He has received more than fifteen teaching awards including the Mathematical Association of America’s national teaching award, the Minnie Stevens Piper Professor award, and the UT System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award.
